I suppose that would really depend on which side of the pond the CNN story orginated. My spell checker (set to British English) wants to change 'artifact' to 'artefact' all the time.

Hi. This CNN broadcast was sent from Atlanta as far as I know.
It is just British English. It is just odd that they would would use British English in Atlanta, USA.
Oops! I made a typo last time: "would would".
