Criminal Sentence 278: Former vs Formal
From a Web site:
"I ran into my formal teacher."
She meant "former teacher," I believe, unless her teacher was not informal. :)
"Former" means "previous."
"Formal" means "not informal."
I suppose they are easy to confuse, so watch out.
